Mind Control

SHELLY

Silence betrays my mind

When I think I'll enjoy solitude

It seems so hard to find

And the chaos begins

My thoughts scream so loud

Like a street parade

Banging my throbbing head

Until I give into the charade

The fears of "what if" and "suppose"

Imitating true feelings

The erroneous scenarios

Makes my heart pound in my chest

I lose sight of what is real

And I begin to create problems

I sit by myself and cry

The falsehoods, I believe them

I try to find some way

To get away from the maddening ideas

But I keep listening to what they say

And keep stabbing my heart

I fight the rising panic

I don't know what to do

The make up srories in my head

Has turned me against you

In the end i turn you off

And you're so done with me

At my mind I angrily scoff

Because of it I'm all alone
