I cannot bring you back
from death my love
even though my dreams
are haunted by the very vision of you
painting you there
is all I can do
awaking with a shaking body
mind so tired of your absence
alas…
dreams of who we once were
dreams filled by proclaimed honor
even though,
we can no longer physically touch
I wonder if someday
we will reunite
in this…
the winter meadow of ours.

Awe thank you dear Nev, such a beautiful thing to say. 💖
Oh so sad, but beautiful! A loss like this is never forgotten. Sending you a big hug!!!!
Dear Liz, after writing this poem, I actually wrote lyrics and now my song is in the semi final of a massive competition in the UK ❤️ dream big even when it hurts lol thank you darling.
WOW 👏👏👏👏👏 congrats to you!! Definitely dream big even when it hurts!! ❤️
I'm sorry your poignant words
were inspired
by such a tragic event my friend;
but in a way, I really relate to your theme/vision dear Poetess
and I agree, in a lot of ways
all Art, can be distilled
as artists curating
a meeting place, between that
which grants us our inspiration
and the us, that yearns to communicate
with that very source..
so those brushstrokes, do tend
to plead, a little
those rhymes do stress to please
and ask if that special someone
or whatever, may visit
this homage, to what the artist deemed
as an important part of who they are/were..
yeah, this is truly such a deep write..
thank you!
Awe thank you dear Mek, out of this I also wrote a song which is now in the semi final of a UK competition for lyrics. What I've always done is make the best out of the worst and this was a tragedy that truly did bring some poetry to me. Thank you dear friend 💖
congrats! I'll get the champagne on ice

I don't expect to get any further however it's great to know I am in the semi-final 💓💓
I love the picture you've chosen for this poem dear Teddy, a very special place. Your verse and song, a beautiful remembrance.
Thank you dearest Bella, I could sit here all night talking of this poem and how it came to be, the irony is that my friend I wrote it for will never be able to appreciate it because even when translated into Italian it just isn't the same. Just wanted to say. 💖
Love knows no language dearest, she knows.
I love the picture you've chosen for this poem dear Teddy, a very special place. Your verse and song, a beautiful remembrance.
Beautiful emotive words Teddy.
Andy
Dear Andy, thank you so much dear friend. 💖
A most beautiful sentiment and sense of temporary loss which is hoped will end in future reunification. Loved the last line that reflects the entire feeling of the poem.
Thank you dear sorrenbarret so very kind of you to dig this up so to speak! 🤣 It's always such a pleasure to hear what you think dear friend. This was a love lost to death, I hope they meet in the next realm. 💙
