Skinny

Miss_Dreamer

When skinny is synonymous with beautiful you create skeletons
With rattling bones and clattering teeth
Skin stretched taunt over portruding bones
Hollowed out cheeks with a mouth that never smiles
For how could it when it's never pretty enough?

When skinny is synonymous with beautiful you create skeletons
With the person inside slowly wasting away
Leaving only the bones to go through the motions of the day
Wondering if this life is still worth living
For how could it be when it will never be good enough?

When skinny is synonymous with beautiful you create skeletons
Most dangerous when they hide away from view
Self destructing without anyone noticing
Hurling themselves towards the chasm of perfection
For how couldn't they when beautiful is synonymous with love?
