Waiting

Tayama

Pine needles in your hair...

As I watch you stare...

To some faraway place...

Where I am not even a trace...

As we made love...your pain was mine...

Yet I will never be your remedy...for it is not my time...

What they did to you so long ago...I'll never know...

But until the day I can no longer breathe...

I'll wait to see...

You looking into my eyes, as we lay together in a bed of pines...

When my love now is enough for you...

As you smile...for all is new...

For when love is allowed to endure...

It can close every door...

To the suffering of a past now dead...

Where joy has now replaced dread...

Where love can't now be denied...

For unlike pain...Love...ours...is alive.

For a love so true, the waiting won't be long. I have always felt that it is the waiting and the pain we take in for love that makes it special.

May that love be forever with you Tayama.
