Mused
It was that last
verse
that killed him ..
As indeed,
all last verses
seemed to do ..
But then,
once he had
died,
just a little bit ..
He took
one final deep
breath,
filled his pen
and lay down ..
It was
high time he
thought,
that his muse
took over again ..

I’m still wondering if the muse knew ahead or perhaps is qualified in an AI or maybe planned it all. Possible just preparing little by little so we won’t be let down. ??
no muse aint good muse after all said and done .. 🎷🎼🎵🎶🎶🎵
LOL I'm very amused let he or she run riot after all your muse is of course your bestest buddy! A fun read dear Nev, happy Saturday. 💖
Thank you Teddy & the very same to you my friend .. ❤️
Good write N.
I muse over KP, but it's ghastly meditations! Pictures of trouts come to mind for some reason...... lol.
you've been watching too much Jaques Costeau 🐟🐟🐟
Ah nice! In the literary sense....that last verse, when you think you can't give anymore, inspiration takes over, and with one last breath, the poetic rhyme is complete! 💜
You got it .. and you got it so good .. indeed, you wear it so bloomin well .. Neville 💜
Ah, dear Nev, who can ever know when the Muse will intercede in the eleventh hour, isn't it always the way. Inspiration comes in the last place you look, because it's there you've found it. Keep writing these gems, that we may admire their beauty. Take care my friend!
Thank you & so very much Bella .. Neville
Sometimes finding an ending can be more difficult than finding a beginning. We pray the muse sticks around long enough. And sometimes writing poetry can seem like a slow death. I'll end here because I can't think of anything else to write. - Phil A.
Like they used to say in those old American Express ads, that'll do nicely sir .. Neville
You have changed the old saying of it takes (three) to “tangoed” I like the interplay of the lover, the beloved, and the pen…enjoyably dramatic as always…
Thank you my friend .. another greatly appreciated visit .. Neville
probably the reason why dead poet's reign..
your Time will come, dear Poet supreme!
glad I get to say, i knew him before
they gave him his flowers, belatedly..
soar high my friend, till
you block out their sun
and force them
to acknowledge your humanitarian
legacy
and your poetry's, timeless poignancy
Now wouldn't that be something to write home about .. cheers Mek .. Neville
