Rise sons and daughters , members rise.
Recognising light within a being is power.
One can learn from the humility of a child.
One can learn from the poor and foreigner.
Elders can learn from the young.
Higher towers oppress , a building that lacks.
The donkey though burdened with the cities load , walks through the dust into a fertile land.

- Comment from author about the poem: Rise of the donkey speaks from observances in the world , how those in authorities at times abuse the way they exercise their authority . There are many symbolisms in the poem , the donkey making it’s way from the dust to a fertile land sums up the whole poem ; of the sons and daughters in the world who may experience being oppressed but in the end come to a fertile land full of abundance ,joy, and peace. Flourishing and successful in all they do regardless of opposition.
