The Making of a Single Murmuration
At precisely
the same time
three
thousand
tiny heartbeats
began
to flutter here
and there ..
Six thousand
sky
hungry wings
also began
to dance as one ..
Across
the compelling
turquoise skies
and in all
directions too ..
Each smiling high
above and then
down upon our
very own
secret orchard ..
Surely seen
by other mortal
eyes somewhere
and likewise,
each murmurized ..
Oh’ yes indeed,
as were, my very own ..

Can ya beat some murmurisation?! π
hardly .. but here, have a flock of π§π§π§π§π§'s
Ooh thanks! lol.
Mmmm.....an invitation? Like starlings do? I'm guessing you've seen it, because it would be hard to describe if you haven't. They protect each other! Loved this! π
I see them quite regularly .. they always seem to be having so much fun .. like a kind of feathered northern lights in broad daylight .. π
Did they nick your fruit? A coordinated attack?
Nah, but it was a veritable Blitzkrieg .. indeed it always is .. and long may it yet be .. maybe π
Lovely way with words .. I liked reading your poem )
How very kind you are Violet and so much appreciated .. thank you Neville
A secret orchard, a murmuration of starlings, for they are the only ones that do this, is as unique as this beautiful poem. You have described a visual treat and brought it to life, line by line. This has to be read aloud, for the syllables drip from the tongue like honey.
wow, what an impression .. thank you so much Bella .. I shall have to go lay down and take the weight of my head off my legs ... π
I search out what you write because it has proven piece after piece to be interesting and thought provoking. Itβs just right THERE.
I am well n truly honoured Bobby .. I am chuffed to bits sir .. I may even need assistance to remove my self from this podium .. or should that be pedestal πΆπΆπ΅π΅πΆ
(aligned, we're segregated
by invisible machinations
yet with every other thought
someone, somewhere is sharing
our frowning murmurations
and starling's in-flight
our only witness to these threads
of self-curated happenstance...)
such a deep write, Hyung
(I read and strive
to comprehend, learn and appreciate)
thank you!
shh not a murmur or they'll all want a slice .. cheers brother M ... N
