There I was in the lounge
Thinking what music shall I listen to,
I know, I thought,
I’ll put some Beethoven on.
So I found his Fifth Symphony,
A piece I had not played for a very long time.
I had heard it on the radio
But didn’t really listen to it,
I knew it so well,
But this was the first time,
The first time I had LISTENED to it,
Really listened to it
For a long time.
There I was carried away,
Carried away by this music,
This glorious music.
I was conducting it,
Smiling all over.
I listen to music all the time
But this took me back,
Back to those times
When I played Beethoven more often.
So once more music astounded me
As it so often does,
So often does in my wonderful life.
My wonderful life of music.

Don't you love it when that happens? I love music! ❤️ I can relate to this. It's such an amazing experience! Enjoy!

Good write Gold. As long as it drowns out my singing, it's OK! lol.
Thank you Orchi.
I find both scents and music have the ability to really evoke forgotten memories.
Thanks for the reminder Andy.
They both certainly do Dave, may they always be there for us.

Dear Andy, to lose yourself in music is a joy beyond compare. Listening to the 5th, you can hardly keep from conducting, its power is overwhelming. We saw a Candlelight Concert of Beethoven's music and it was breathtaking. I share your love, and thank you for the words that describe this miracle of music.
So very true Bella, music is a joy beyond compare, so glad that you share my love of music as well.
Andy
your fondness for music is no great secret is it .. it's just great, isn't it ..
It certainly is Neville, I am listening to Grieg's Piano Concerto on the radio as I write this reply.
