All men

sorenbarrett

I've wandered through Dante's inferno, heaven and purgatory,

traveled Ulysses' journey, fished with Hemmingway, lived his story,

I have fought Tolstoy's wars, battled the windmills of Cervantes,

pondered the politics of Plato, dipped deep Melvil's daunting seas,

endured Hardy's loss and lack of luck, Steinbeck's unjust poverty,

floated with Tom and Huck, suffered the mental turmoil of Dostoevsky

I have lived in the woods of Thoreau, sat under the Bodhi tree,

made Dicken's ultimate sacrifice, been on the cross at Calvery

I am all men and their story

This is really great. Not as critique but as proof of inspiration from your phrase and form. The power on that page could also fit in a cause and effect format, extracting and displaying the tangible quality of each reference.
Ie; …, lived in Woods of Thoreau learned natures beauty and absorbed some of its wonder and helped me grow ..,
That’s corny but you get the point. Tiny bits of impactful info validates and separates with evidence of greatness

Thank you Bobby your comments are deeply appreciated. Yes you are right it could fit in a cause and effect format. Didn't think of that when writing it.

        loved this, now
we must do one for those sisters
        that were being marginalised
        while these geniuses were thriving,
        contrasted, side by side
Bronte's, Austen, Woolf, George Eliot, Toni Morrison, Maya, Harper Lee, Louisa Alcott
        etc

Thanks L.B. I accept the challenge, since I'm not a woman it may take a few days. Appreciate the mind opening advice my friend.
