Ephesians 6 v.10-18

Put on armour of God all

And stir unto battle

Be strong in the Lord to fight

In [the] power of His might

So putting on armour whole

Keeping body and soul

And spirit, that you may be

Able to stand surely

 

To stand against the schemes, see

Of the devil, he be

Our enemy, oppressor

Deceiver, accuser

For wrestle against not

Human beings, our lot

Is against rulers, powers

Of darkness in these hours

 

And against spiritual hosts

Of wickedness, their boasts

That as we cannot them see

They not exist, not be

But take stand diligently

With waist clothed securely

With girdle of truth, breastplate

Of righteousness, not wait

 

Have feet shod in readiness

To share gospel, to bless

Take shield of faith, so you shall

Quench the fiery darts well

Of the wicked one, they fly

Would seek come to you nigh

Take helmet of salvation

Be lacking none, not one

 

And take sword of the Spirit

The word of God, the writ

And pray always with all prayer

Too supplications share

Watching and persevering

Dropping guard in no thing

Yes, strong in the Lord to fight

    when I was very young and impressionable .. unlike now .. I was once made to write something along these lines at school by my teacher who then went on to become a priest .. and later still went on to become a prisoner for sexually abusing children .. Neville

      Thanks N.
      It's that old adage maybe - just cos someone's in a church, it don't mean they are a Christian. Though this person could have had beliefs, but still done those awful things.
      Maybe it's a case of 'We never know what goes on behind closed doors - or even 'open doors' re. the church.

          And need it to, always battling the demons that try to sway my love in the Lord,
          And battling away certain objects,(you know 😉😉)LOL
