The Grieving Silence of An Empty House

The Grieving Silence of An Empty House

When the silence

of their empty house

proved deafening ..

Instead of leaning in,

she turned away

from him and his kin ..

But it wasn’t

always like that now

was it darling ..

And the key may yet

be found

just where he left it ..

Should she ever

need it again that is

or in case by some chance ..

A stranger might be

listening,

or wondering even ..

What they know

about loss, about lust,

about longing, or love even ..

      Good write N.
I heard the sound of silence. KP blew the telly up, so we had to watch each other all evening - in silence! I thought I was watching a horror film about trouts. Can't stand her for more than 5 minutes usually. lol.

you can beat an egg .. but you can't beat around the bush for ever .. do something about your self .. oh' and you can't beat a good old silent movie either.. Neville

        • orchidee

But I'm saving the bush from a beating, by beating AROUND it! I will go back to sleep. Why did I wake up to spout rubbish like this?! lol.

Sadly beautiful with an invite that your door is forever open. I know about losing love and your last lines are stunning. ❤️

          • Neville

thank you my very dearest of Teddy's .. I hope you like the #2 version as much if not more so .. ❤️

Judgement from outside or unfamiliar can’t touch with sense of purpose

            • Neville

and when there is no sense of purpose, then one is inclined .. occasionally .. to use one's common sense .. I dig your drift my goodly fellow .. Neville 🎶🎶🎵🎶

Recent discussions? A bit Zen? Don't you do that alone?
I feel the mood...just not sure which are the factual events...or should I be minding my own business?

              • Neville

.. maybe .. just maybe, perhaps #2 will enlighten you ... cheers Dave regardless ... Neville

Silent...cries? Wondering if they're being heard? Silence can say a lot more than we realize...and it sounds to me like, with this deafening quietness, there's still...hope. A ray of light...an open door? Maybe it's just my glass half full personality that sees it. But, what do I know! Loved it! 💜

You not only have impeccable taste .. but you are also most astute .. thank you LIZ 💜

                  silence is a language
                  I study, earnestly
I am at one with solitude
                  because, silence
                  speaks to me, guides me
                  assures me, pausing
                  waiting, planning is also
                  part of my progression
                  that's where meditation
                  is born out of..
                  'we should never judge
                  but strive to understand'
                  what a great message, Hyung
hope you and your loved ones
                  have a Sun kissed weekend
                  adorned by smiles and light
                  hearts..
                  Salut mi amigo 🍻

                  • Neville

Thank you again my friend & back at you .. Neville

                  • Dove

Silence is my friend. The background noise is an afterthought. Lust and love in memories never end,
but rather holds on at every cost. Hear the wind she blows
The memories in our ears. The heart beats faster because in that silence time knows no fears...

                    Great Poem dear, dear Neville
