You don't know what or how I feel

But here's my heart for you to steal

And I have a lot to heal

I want you with me now

 

It's so hard to open up, don't you see?

Like memories that burn, it's so hard to be me

I don't want you to know my life's been a tragedy

I need you with me somehow

 

So, here it goes, I just don't care

My deepest wounds, please don't stare

Or my haunting regrets, beware!

Why aren't you with me now?

 

Abused as a child, reliving cruelty

Broken hearted teen, they promised the world to me

Every chapter in life presents pains, sadly

I'm trying to move on without you

          You speak the words in wonderful verse, painful but I think cathartic. The cruelty that you experienced in childhood and adolescence has given you insight that strengthens character and resolve, both of which you possess in abundance. An incredible write!

              But what I've learned through my past and pain and abuse,is that there is healing and sometimes the ones that was hurt the most turn out to be the most gentle souls , like you!
