You don't know what or how I feel
But here's my heart for you to steal
And I have a lot to heal
I want you with me now
It's so hard to open up, don't you see?
Like memories that burn, it's so hard to be me
I don't want you to know my life's been a tragedy
I need you with me somehow
So, here it goes, I just don't care
My deepest wounds, please don't stare
Or my haunting regrets, beware!
Why aren't you with me now?
Abused as a child, reliving cruelty
Broken hearted teen, they promised the world to me
Every chapter in life presents pains, sadly
I'm trying to move on without you

A fine write C.
thanks orchi!
I'm hoping this is fiction, either way yes, very sad but these episodes make us who we are. Hopefully stronger kinder and more caring. 💖
The cruelty part is true but it definitely made me a more caring caregiver wife and mom! Thank you so much for your kind review!
I am so glad you have found your muse, or she found thee .. this was in all honesty sadly enjoyed .. Neville
Thank you so much Neville! I appreciate your review very much!--Christina
You speak the words in wonderful verse, painful but I think cathartic. The cruelty that you experienced in childhood and adolescence has given you insight that strengthens character and resolve, both of which you possess in abundance. An incredible write!
That was a wonderful review that made my heart happy!!! I will treasure that, thank you!!
It is my pleasure!
This is sad christina,
But what I've learned through my past and pain and abuse,is that there is healing and sometimes the ones that was hurt the most turn out to be the most gentle souls , like you!
Yes! We are two gentle souls, indeed! Thank You!!
Very emotive words Christina, I do hope all gets well soon.
Andy
