A Childlike Faith

orchidee

Tune: North Coates

('O my Saviour, lifted')

Psalm 131

********

Lord, my heart not haughty

Not proud, boasting, see

And my eyes not lofty

Unconceited be

I not exercise me

Nor my concern be

In great matters that are

Too high or too far

Nor things [of] difficulty

Nor [of] profundity

But have behaved, quieted

My soul, by you balmed

It like a child who weaned

Of its mother, gleaned

Calm and peace, so hope sure

In the Lord e'ermore

Is there such a thing? Childlike faith? 💖

    • orchidee

Well, yes, I think so - but not child-ish!
I have no faith in KP, never have had. I wish she wouldn't keep putting her faith in summat else. She says 'In botox we trust!' 😁

It may just be that over time you have gathered that I'm not much into religion, prayers or God,
But there's something really simple and, clear which got to me with this one.
              Enjoyed very much, orchi.
