Washed away in a tropical storm
swept into the gutter of lost love
down into the deep dark drains of
oh, how I wish it could’ve been different
it’s the only way I can describe losing you
in torrential rain and hurricane winds
that just wouldn't quiet
until that precious moment
I let go of your so called love
and let it all just run free
by opening my eyes
and closing my heart
I did it
and now?
I will never, ever again
leave home
without a heavy-duty umbrella.

Good write Teddy.
What no smart comments about the laundry? LoL 🤣 thank you Mr Orchi. ❤️
Yes, airing my dirty washing in public? Not meaning actual washing, but.... ohh you know what I mean! lol.
Ah, you had your coffee now then. LoL
Cuppa tea rather. Coffee - bleeurgh! lol.
Teddy, life's experiences can do that to us. Letting go is no joke. But setting ourselves free....well that's priceless. And we must be aware...hence the heavy duty umbrella. BUT, I truly believe that sometimes....those hurricane winds take us to the most incredible, unexpected places...and that's where we learn and grow. I may be way off here but....I loved it!! ❤️
Yes Dearest Liz, exactly ❤️ thank you for this wonderful review. 💜
That can happen to us all Teddy but there is always a way forward into a better life where that umbrella will not be needed.
Andy
Agreed dear Andy. 💜 thank you.
brilliant .. this reminds me so much of ME .. ❤️
Yep you and me my dearest Nev, we kind of have the same poetic soul when it comes to love. Thank you dear friend. ❤️
I have absolutely no idea how your brain is wired (and, I admit, have been troubled by this in the past) but you certainly come up with some very interesting and entertaining connections, Teddy.
Yes you do that lol 🤣
I've heard of lightning striking, whirlwind relationships and love going down the drain but this kind of wraps it all up into one. The metaphor of the umbrella is great, I think we all need one.
I'm so desperately sorry I missed this dearest sorenbarret my deepest apologies, such a wonderful review as ever. It's been a whirlwind these past days. Always appreciate all my friends here, so thank you and again I absolutely would never ignore my reviews. ❤️
