Now we see Jesus, who was made

To human view displayed

Made little lower than angels

For a while, each tongue tells

 

Was for the suffering of death

He gave His final breath

Then rose again, crowned with glory

And honour e'er, so be

 

That He by the grace of God should

Taste death for all, He would

Do His Father's will, so each one

May be saved through the Son

 

For it was fitting for Him, for

All things are for Him sure

And by Him all things live and be

He brings us to glory

 

God made Him our captain, our Lord

Of salvation, His word

Says God made Him perfect, complete

Through sufferings, no defeat
