The Dream

Teddy.15

I'm wandering lonely as a cloud

my eyes even though grounded

I am floating

at least in my mind I am

moving slowly over ground

a bird’s eye view

of what could have been

a bird’s eye view

of the life I had always dreamed

and as I wander lonely as a cloud

I reflect on all that has been

and all that will be

and I am not scared

I am not

because I know

what is meant to be, will be

I believe in that

I believe in...

the dream.

Ah this week I was offered a what they call fabulous book deal with no offerings what so ever for me, a company who work also with Borak Obama no less, they told me they were happy to publish my work if I paid for 200 copies of my own work. LoL 🤣 I told them very politely no thank you. Am I disappointed, of course but I would never give up writing because of it. I share with my friends that's the most joy and love I can ever have. Thank you dearest Melvin. Always my champion. ❤️

Dreams do come true lovely Teddy! We both know that. Believing is a huge part! It just never happens quite as we expect! "what is meant to be, will be"--but we CAN create...THE DREAM!! Loved it!! 💖💖💖💖

      • Teddy.15

Yes my dearest Liz, we don't need to be completely obsessed it will all come if we believe that's what I believe and what is meant to be will be. Thank you my darling Lizzy, ❤️

A lovely poem Teddy. What sort of cloud would you be?

          • Teddy.15

The sort that floats happily without raining on parades lol a puffy happy cloud, who does the laundry and the cooking... ❤️

I love the sentiment of this poem, your words convey beautifully the peace and comfort found in simply allowing yourself to be. Dreams give us purpose, they move us forward, even when they don't end up where we thought. You have something very precious here, hold onto that dream dear Teddy.

Thank you my dear Bella, I had a run in with a book deal it didn't go well, but you know I believe in the dream, maybe one day. I'm already living many. Thank you dear friend. ❤️

I can remember my mother always saying to me "good things come to those who wait", and she was usually right. Your talent belongs with those who truly appreciate it, and they are there, waiting to cross your path. God bless dear friend!

May that dream become your reality Teddy.

                      !Brilliant!
                      loving your 'airy' deft wording
                      dear Poetess
a joy to read and escape within
                      thank you!
('When all at once I saw a crowd,.

                      ..words, A poetic serenade
                      from a cherished Poetess
                      inking of freedom dreams
                      distilling life's ephemerality
                      and ease of heart, simplicity
if we but choose to accept
                      our limitations and learn
                      to let go and trust
in that same fate, which afforded
