REMnants

How lonely my life has been

floating on a sea of lies

but life chose to begin again

when I looked into your eyes.

The raging sea that was my life

became a motionless ocean.

Now, you say it is time to go

but I cannot understand that notion.

There would be nothing here for me

trying to live my life without you.

I need your sweet love.

Take me in your arms and love me.

You have always been here, in my heart

and I know that you are mine.

I never know the time of day

yet I cannot forget you.

You are constantly on my mind

and within my heart.

A million dreams cannot fill my emptiness

or wipe the fear from my heart.

My age-old dream has lost all its glory

and now, I am your secondhand story.

Maybe if I did not love you, I could take one more step.

Immobile, I will wait for you until the oceans all are dry

and poets have no words to say goodbye.

I will be here for you through all the hue and cry

when the Moon disappears from the sky.

This time you say it is forever

but time goes by and tears, they dry

and riches cannot buy

everything.

A rose from you always meant love to me

and I will wait for you to bring

another.

Rejoice that you have the ability to LOVE. Many people have lived their whole lives without love, they don’t even know what it is. Be happy.
