Bring your bags for life, to make
Unruly mess, everything’s for sale, even
You, the paying guest, fill up on
Information, from the pews and the polls,
Nothing goes unpaid when it comes to
Guiding trolls.

- Comment from author about the poem: Buying, simply used to mean "purchasing", but now, it is a slang word for believing. Meaning that, insufferably, in a world ran by us, everything has a price tag, from the milk in the fridge, to the vote you cast!! The banner picture I find very apt, as it paints a typical overly busy scene, that is now too much the common place. I hope that you enjoy this short acrostic, and in such a maelstrom that we create, let's hope that the ancient wholesome freebies remain. As always, please do stay safe everyone.

Love the form you've chosen, and your words certainly hit the mark. The price of life itself is high indeed, how will we survive this maelstrom?
Thanks for the read Bella, and for your lovely words, and I totally agree with you, when it comes to the unfair cost of living.
In terms of a solution to survive, or even to ease such a maelstrom, it is a matter of attuning the baseness of our operation. But something tells me, that such a core way of doing things, via such recycled villainies; from generation to generation; that now comprise the norm, no sense nor bravery, can change such a brutal reality that we have selfishly made. But there is room for a little hope.
Thanks again, and I hope that all is well.
Well said my friend! That little bit of hope needs tending to flourish one day.
Those trolls are increasing ion number and need to be contained some time soon Ben.
Andy
Thanks for the read Andy, and I agree with you, let the containment begin!
I hope that all is well.
Those trolls are waiting at every door and gate and even under bridges! Love the word play of buy vs purchase…
Thanks for the read Parisab, and I agree with your sad but true statement.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the satirical "punnage", and I hope that all is well.
