Blessed they that consider the poor

Helpless, powerless, for

The Lord will save them in their times

Of troubles in life's rhymes

 

The Lord will them preserve, and keep

Them alive, they His sheep

They shall be blessed on the earth, they

Helped needy in their day

 

The Lord will not give them unto

Their enemies to do

What they wish, but will His aid give

To them and they shall live

 

The Lord will strengthen them upon

Bed of sickness, each one

Will restore, heal, for they did care

In human need, did share
