And as I dreamt long
long into this beautiful night
I glimpsed his grin
deep within
the shadows of the moons wrinkles
startled by the figure
of this magnificent raven
perched right beside me
on my dreamer’s quilt
he whispered ever so gently
on
how to find the end of my grief?
I asked him...
how do you know?
he replied...
although you sleep
and of that you dream
when you finally awake
you'll be free
he then flew, his enormous wings
right back…
into the wrinkles of the great moon.

Evocative words that capture a serene imagery. Enjoyed reading!
Thank you so much. ❤️
A fine write T.
Thank you orchidear ❤️
Great poetic lines "the shadows of the moons wrinkles "i.I can't help but think of Poe's The Raven but in his poem the narrator did not end up free but would not lift himself from the shadow "nevermore"
If I dream that I no longer own grief in my heart that may be a great clue, Such a beautiful review and yes the raven is one of my most favourite poems it seems to speak to me on levels that I myself cannot fathom. Thank you dear Sorenbarret ❤️
another beauty Teddy
Dearest Melvin, we both know quite a bit about this raven, may he bring peace to your dreams too my dear friend. Thank you. ❤️
Ahhhh the Raven! My spirit animal!! I loved everything about this one!! FREEDOM-of the mind! Out of sight, but flying high!!
Thank you dear Liz. ❤️

So kind of you to come by to say, thank you dear Thomas. ❤️
Wonderful words Teddy, I hope he took your worries with him as he flew to the Moon.
Andy
The grief yes. ❤️
First off, I love the expression "Wrinkles of the great moon", that's so original and just so clever and descriptive. To be free upon days wake, that's a dream in itself. This read so beautifully - Michael
Thank you so much dear Michael. ❤️
