Heartbreak Day

Kevin Michael Bloor

I sit highlighting, citing, writing
what I need you to know.
In lines I'm laying,  simply saying:
why did you have to go?

From world that’s turning; botched and burning,
with pen, I stand aloof.
In words I’m weaving, grieving, leaving
a page, as pledge and proof.

Of how I’m feeling – raw, unhealing,
on this cruel heartbreak day.
As I sit dreaming, tears are streaming
now that you’ve gone away.

    (great flow, as eevr
    is this dating back
    to time before
you n your partner got back together..?)
    btw
    thanks for checking-in
hoping you and your are doing well..
    thanks for sharing dear Poet
    (although
Palestine's not having a great time either
outside of our affiliations and chosen sides
    life is life
    and 2'600 dead/injured
is a lot of wasted life..)

Thank you. Yeah, this goes back to my dark days, but I've also applied it to current events in The Middle East. Sadly, the present crisis, being a deeply divisive situation, is having a polarising effect.

You can feel the torment of the heart breaking in this write. Time offers some solace, but it can get better. Very well crafted a write.
