Tune: Duke Street
('Fight the good fight')
Psalm 98 v.4-8
********
Make joyful noise unto the Lord
All the earth, true e'er be His word
Make a loud noise, break forth in song
Give Him praises all day, night long
Rejoice, sing praise unto the Lord
He the great God, all be assured
Sing to the Lord with instruments
Harp, voice of psalm, His presence sense
With trumpets, sound of cornets raise
Unto Him thankful hymns of praise
He the Lord, the King, let sea roar
Creation's praise with mankind's soar
All peoples that in the world dwell
Join with floods, rivers, hills to tell
Of His greatness, he all hads made
His life and power here displayed

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.8.8.8. Argh! I'm gonna break forth in song (verse 1). But don't worry - the trumpets and cornets will drown me out (verse 3). You got ya cornet ready?! I used the same tune recently, but here's a different video for you.

Same page!
Thanks 2. A praise-y Psalm. You singing from the same hymn sheet as me then?! lol.
Always
Can ya hear me screeching, erm, singing?!
He saves us, remember?
Yes, it's not the tune or the words that's the problem - it's me singing 'em, so I say! heehee. He will save ya from it!
Growing up my mum would make me go to the local Chapel, when they had a service. It was attached to Peat Island and my mum seemed to have the loudest voice, always seemed out of tune!
In later years when I read that part where he says, take away those viols??, I understood, it's not song but the singer!
There has got to be hope somewhere. ❤️
Thanks Teddy. Yes, or else evil will ultimately win. No hope for me now I've married though! lol.
Very uplifting. Thank you for that.
Thanks T.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
