Tune: St Timothy
('O Holy Ghost, thy people bless')
Romans 8 v.26-28
********
The Spirit helps us where we weak
His presence may we seek
And find Him e'en within our hearts
Strength to our inward parts
For we know not what we should pray
For, whether it night, day
But the Spirit He intercedes
With God the Father pleads
With groans at times, they beyond words
Yet all by the Lord heard
And God who does search the hearts knows
How the Spirit's mind flows
For the Spirit prays according
To God's will in each thing
And we know that all things, they do
Work together, 'tis true
Work together for good to they
That love God, with him stay
They are the called ones according
To His purpose, we sing

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.6. The Spirit's help in prayer, where daily/weekly prayer, whether short or long, may become as a shopping-list - nearly the same every day/week. Teh experience of the Spirit in church services need not be as a 'Clique of Choruses' people - seemingly endless repetitive Choruses of not much inspiration, such as Yeah, Hooray, Wooh, etc.

Good one Orchi.
The choirs a bit crook I think it' might be the master?
Thanks 2. They don't have a master - it's informal - oh yeah, hey, whoopee, etc! Not quite my cup of tea.
