My poetic side

peto

My posts now fast approach the ton

Some good some bad some just for fun

With nectar poisoned ink would run

You took away my numb

For julian I have deep respect

This site has let my thoughts reflect

And lay them bare without regret

You took away my numb

To newcomers struggling to write

The veterans who seem out of sight

All started off like you one night

You took away my numb

To those who chose to be my friend

My gratitude will never end

I've also loved the words you penned

You took away my numb

The time has come to leave the stage

Returning to an empty page

My feelings locked back in their cage

A few more still to come

This is beautiful! You already know....your writing helps so much. Even the ones you think don't, are a faucet of untolds! "A few more still to come".....a number of unknowns. Reading between the lines, I get it more than you know! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Wonderfully written! You talk about those who chose to be your friend, trust me we feel the same about you! I think your writing goes both ways, it takes away your numb, and it brings us joy. I hope you have many poems left. I need to get my pen....

A wonderfully written tribute here peto, and I totally agree, MyPoeticSide is a warm and talented community, where words are shared and friendships are made. So, likewise in your second stanza, I would also like to thank the kind sir who planted the seed.

Like you, I look forward to sharing more, and like many others, I look forward to reading more of theirs and of course, yours.

Bravo and I hope that all is well.
