The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

David Wakeling

These are the dark days, the illegitimate moments,
That were never meant to have a name.
All of us are beings that exist as accidents.
Without purpose, without hope and without shame.

On February 14, 2018, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz opened fire
on students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School
in Parkland, Florida, murdering 17 people and injuring 17 others.
Cruz, a former student at the school, fled the scene on foot by blending
in with other students, and was arrested without incident approximately
one hour later in nearby Coral Springs. Police and prosecutors investigated
"a pattern of disciplinary issues and unnerving behavior.
The killing spree became the deadliest high school shooting in United States history,
surpassing the Columbine High School massacre that killed 15,
including the perpetrators, in Colorado in April 1999.

On May 18, 2018, a school shooting occurred at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe,
Texas, United States, in the Houston metropolitan area. Ten people –
eight students and two teachers – were fatally shot, and thirteen others were wounded.
A suspect was taken into custody and later identified by police as Dimitrios Pagourtzis,
a 17-year-old student at the school.

On May 24, 2022, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos opened fire at Robb Elementary School
in Uvalde, Texas, killing 19 people.12 Of the people fatally shot, 18 were children and
one was a teacher.23 Ramos, a student at a nearby high school, was killed after a
shootout with police. Earlier that day, Ramos shot and wounded his grandmother.
The attack was the deadliest mass shooting at a U.S. elementary school since the
Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 20121 and the deadliest U.S. school
shooting since the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018.

These are the dark days, the illegitimate moments,
That were never meant to have a name.
All of us are beings that exist as accidents.
Without purpose, without hope and without shame

Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day,our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from Evil,
For thine is the Kingdom the Power
and the Glory Forever and ever.Amen

I just love the juxtaposition of the original statement and your calmly thrust content. If I knew what sardonic wit meant I would pay yiu that compliment.

There is an attempt at Good vs Evil here. Thanks for the compliment
