Mom and Dad

Mason Vollman

Love You Mom & Dad.

Growing up i had a guiding star,
through the highs and lows
no matter how far,
they were there in the light and the shade,
Mom and dad my heroes,
never to fade.
In the early morning i'd hear moms grace, her words of wisdom like a warm embrace.
She held the fort,
the heart of our home,
with her love and care,
we'd never be alone.
Dad, with his strength and his steady hand,
taught me to stand tall, to take a stand.
In the face of adversity he never backed down,
his lessons and story's like a kings golden crown.
If Together we stand,
we'd never be wrong,
In the darkest moments he kept us strong.
Mom and Dad
Kept Me From Sin,
Pulled this family together from there love within.
So heres to the ones who raised me right,
through every day and every night,
i'm forever grateful for the love you've shown,
In my heart you'll always have a place, Mom and Dad.
Your My Saving Grace...

In a world where rules are set in stone,
Where justice and fairness are too often overthrown,
A system that's supposed to protect and guide,
Often leaves the vulnerable feeling cast aside.

The scales of justice, they teeter and sway,
As power and privilege often have their way,
The wealthy and connected, they wield their might,
While the marginalized struggle in the darkest night.

Inequality abounds, a cruel and bitter truth,
Leaving many to fight for their dreams from their youth,
A cycle of oppression, so hard to break,
Leaving too many lives at stake.

But in the shadows, a glimmer of hope,
A call for change, a way to cope,
Together we can strive for a world that's just,
Where the system's flaws are left in the dust.

Let's tear down the walls that divide us apart,
And mend the broken pieces of every heart,
For in unity and love, we'll find our way,
To reshape the system, to a brighter day.

In this messed up world, there's strength in our fight,
To make the system better, more just, more right,
With courage and determination, we can rise above,
And create a system founded on fairness and love.

You have a lovely family. I'm a little jealous to be honest. I wonder if my life would have been different if I had a Mom that actually cared. I never knew my father. And by the time I figured out who he was, he had already passed on.

My Mom had 3 loves in life. My younger half sister, the bottle and drugs as in whatever she could get her hands on. I was never good enough. So I ran the streets or stayed with my grandparents to avoid the constant belittling, yelling,or hitting. I refused to hit back, but that only made her hit harder. Many days I went to school with a black eye or a broken nose or a dislocated jaw. Not once did I tell anyone how it happened. It was always a dirt bike accident or I fell off the trampoline.

We started to get along only shortly before she passed on in 2015. So I count that as a plus even if it was short lived

Yes, but everything that's happened to you made you who you are today. Everyone is beautiful on the inside.🙏💕💘

I wish my family was like that, but I'm glad that you have a good family, I'm also glad that my family isn't like that because every scar is a reminder that you have gone through harshness and that you can get through it again
