She sat in her little room
Books surrounding her,
Reading one at a time,
And in her little room
She was taken away.
She went to Africa with Hemingway,
To India with Kipling.
So many writers she read
And was taken all over the world,
And all over the Universe,
As she read her books,
Read her books in her little room.

this is more than just lovely .. and it could very easily apply to so many of our ladies around the globe .. Neville
Thank you Neville, it applies to me as well, I have been taken so many places just through reading books. The one I am reading at the moment has me in your neck of the woods in Cornwall.
Andy
.. Enjoy ..................... 🌞👍

Was I there singing too?!
Thanks Orchi, no she missed that one!
Andy
Ah good, she said! lol.
There's a large truth there, Andy.
But why ''She"? Can't I be allowed to read too?....
So long as this habit does not prevent whomsoever from the ability to leave the room and interact with the world.....
Yes we all can, I took it from just something that I read. Yes even I still leave the room and explore all Dave.
Andy
Yes. The wonderful things about reading, you can go anywhere, do anything.
So true Thomas.
Andy
You mentioned those writers. What skill they possessed. Nice ✍️
They certainly did John.

A wonderful dose of wholesomeness this is Andy, and thank you for sharing it.
Sometimes you've simply got to respect the beautiful simplicity of things, that comes from such an imagination, that has a want to enrich itself, via exploration.
Bravo, and I hope that all is well.
Thank you Ben, your words are very much appreciated.
Andy
