Pursuing the Path

Tune: St Hilda

('O happy band of pilgrims')

Psalm 119 v.71-74

********

It is good for me that I

Afflicted [be] by and by

That I might your statutes learn

O Lord, and to you turn

Law of your mouth better be

Than heaps of riches, see

Better than thousands of gold

Or silver stores be told

You hands, Lord, have fashioned, made

Me, your works here displayed

Give me understanding so

I your commands learn, know

They that fear you, Lord, will be

Glad when they do me see

Because I have hoped in your

Word, it abides e'ermore
