Liberty to Love

orchidee

Tune: Louvan

('Lord of all being, throned afar')

Galatians 5 v.13-15

**************

You have been called to liberty

But not turn it to licence free

Liberty not to do selfish

Things, not as self does please, each wish

But by love serve one another

Of humankind's sister, brother

For all the law it fulfilled be

In one word, it expressed plainly

It is this, You shall love neighbour

As yourself, not hate or abhor

But if you bite and devour

One another, love shall not flower

For in that case, take heed that you

Be not consumed, for it be true

You would only use selfishly

Your liberty for self, I, me
