Homecoming

MessyHead

I went from reckless abandon

To a walled city
Life calls me out
But I'm busy

You see
I fell into hope and it's lovely
But it left me
Stalked now by choice
I drown out the voice
Unsettled in stable, I'm no longer empty

And now in regret
In the end I found myself
With a bloody homecoming
Stone cold hugs from old ugly

I went from hapless and helpless
Into full autonomy
Nobody telling me
In staying
I'd fear my every next step
