Tune: St Francis Xavier
('My God, I love thee, not because')
Ephesians 2 v.4-10
*********
God, who is rich in mercy, He
Comes to save us now, see
With His great love wherewith He loved
Us, and has us encoved
Even when we spiritually
Were dead in sins, so be
he made us alive in His Son
Christ Jesus, sinless One
By grace we are saved, and God sure
Has raised us up e'ermore
And made us sit together too
Above, with Christ, made new
So that in the ages to come
He shows still what is done
Exceeding riches of His grace
We this His kindness trace
It is all done through Christ, for we
Cannot ourselves save, see
By grace we are saved through faith, this
The way that none should miss
This is not of our own doing sure
'Tis the gift of God sure
Not of man's work, so none can boast
But trust God fully, most
For we are God's workmanship, we
In Christ created be
For all good works, God has ordained
Them, we live unashamed

Glory be!
Thanks 2.
A very fine write, Sir Steve. I enjoy reading how you adhere to the meter.
Thanks Sir N. Yes, it's pesky if an extra syllable slips in - sometimes it does. lol.
God one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
