The Cats Played.

Goldfinch60

The cats came on the stage,

Not just ordinary cats

But these were jazz cats,

Dave Browning’s Jazz Cats.

The sound they made

Took me away,

Away to that wonderful world,

That wonderful world of jazz.

They played all evening

And that two hours

Was the fastest in my life,

I was hooked into there playing,

Taken into the world of jazz

Where once more I was lost,

Lost in that superb place

Where I have been taken,

Taken for many, many years

By such wonderful bands,

Such wonderful bands as this one.

Always nice to see a distant relative shredding it in field of their own. Jazz is also quite nice. A lovely read, thanks much!
