Caught Out Cryptically

Ohh, It's no use

Asking Fido and I to understand anything cryptic

In poems or prose

 

But waffle on pleasantly as you will

In your own style

I dunno what most cryptic poems are on about

Being uncultured, unknowing, unpoetic at times! heehee.

 

I get caught out

The poet replies - Nooooo, I didn't mean THAT at all!

Yet we can all have our own interpretations

What does a poem speak to us about?

 

But, wait, Fido will probably know the meanings

He knows 99% of everything there is to know

Explain to me, Fido

Of these cryptic lines

Help my three brain cells to understand

Seeing as you have three trillion of them!

 

Some may as well be algebra

For all I can understand of them

Now look, who uses algebra now?

2x + 3y - BBC and ITV...

Summat like that anyway!

 

Oh, I'll read 'em, them poems

You'll likely get the comment from me:

'Good write', or 'fine write'

But that's all! Doh!
