From Darkness To Light

You a chosen generation

And too you a holy nation

A royal priesthood of our King

A special people, to Him sing

 

That you should show forth the praises

Of Him who had called you, raises

each one to Him worship, for He

Called you from darkness to light, see

 

It be His marvellous light pure

In it we may rejoice e'ermore

In time past we were not people

Of God, but now His people all

 

And we had not His mercy, though

He has now revealed it, 'tis so

And we from Him it have obtained

Blessings and favour we have gained
