“Let us begin breakfast
With a little known piece
By Beethoven”
The announcer said.
This made me laugh,
As from the radio
There came this sound,
The sound so very well known,
The sound of Fur Elise.
Anyone who has touched a piano
Would have tried this piece.
The wonderful tune ended
And the announcer said with a grin
“Well it was new on me”
And I burst out laughing
A brilliant start to my day.

Cornflakes with Beethoven?!
Good write Gold.
Porridge, not Cornflakes Orchi.
Thank you.
Andy
Funny how classics in any genre are unknown to younger generations. It makes me wonder what I have missed and I spend hours reviewing older as well as newer music. Good write Gold
Thank you soren, I have been listening to music, mainly classical and jazz for over seventy years and even I am often surprised at a piece I had never heard before. As I say to people:
"So much music, so little time"
Andy
Here I sit 7:30 am coffee in hand listening to this beautiful piece.
Nice!
John
Thank you John, I hope you enjoyed both the music and your coffee.

I was sure I'd not heard this piano piece before and was all set to make note of such, but then decided to listen to the video. And to my surprise I have heard this before, don't remember where. But a beautiful piece it is and I'm happy I did listen to it and of course with the masterful writing that it accompanies. 🙂👍
Thank you AP, it is a very famous piece of music that I think anybody who has been at a piano has attempted to play.
Andy
I've been at a piano before, but not a note from my fingers. 🙄
News to me tho' .. but what a treat ..
So glad you enjoyed it Neville.
