Wild Flowers

Teddy.15

I cannot bring you back

from death my love

even though my dreams

are haunted by your very vision

painting you onto my canvas

is all I can do

awakening my soul each day

  body shaking

mind so tired of your absence

alas…

dreams of you

dreams filled with colour and hope

we can no longer physically touch

yet, I feel your warmth

and I wonder if someday

we will reunite?

in this…

my beautiful painting of

 wild flowers.

This poem is filled with beauty, longing, hope, all the wonderful emotions that keep a loved one near to us, even when they are gone. The pain of loss is there, and yet it is soothed with your gentle words and wild flowers, where you will always be one with the beloved. Breathtaking my dear Teddy!

I like to think of wild flowers as being just that .. they look good in a garden too of course .. but strange as it may sound .. the sight of them in a vase, jug or jar is rather saddening ... beautiful poetry tho petal ... đŸŒģ🌹đŸŒē💮đŸĨ€đŸĒģ🌷đŸŒŧ

I can really feel the emotion and longing in your words. A lovely poem so well written. It really hits home. Thank you so much for sharing your poem and the feelings behind it.

                    • Teddy.15

Thank you dearest Tom, unfortunately I have known about grief since I was 24. My own personally therapy isn't being a victim but being an artist and poetess who can use my loss for positivity, I know I am not alone and if I can brightened just one person's day with my thoughts, I think I have done my job as an author. Thank you so much for coming by to leave such kind words. 💜

Sorry to hear that, Teddy. And it's a real gift you have, that you can turn these experiences into art.

A beautiful poem of reflection. So relatable for those of us who have loved and lost. Your posted image of wild flowers is exactly how I wish to see them. Seen at their very best. A lovely poem Teddy.
