Once

sorenbarrett

I know so little,

but in passing, I knew love once

and like an acquittal

all suffering it blunts

Stolen glimpses of the past,

a man who could see, but now is blind,

with fondness that will always last

coloring the blackness of my mind

Passion is only skin deep

but love goes to the bone

It pardoned the sins that I reap

though only once did I it own

I can die with a smile,

though it was so long ago

A redemption from life's trial

and that's all that I need to know

Good Idea Orchi I'm working on one with three letters per word with three letters per line and only three stanzas. How did you know? Thanks for the read

Not all life can be beautiful for many I suspect - certainly occasionally not for me. However I have also experienced your redemption, which helps see me through.
        Thanks Soren: neat work.
