Leading Light - Ye Olde Prayers Series (7)

orchidee

Tune: Lux Benigna

('Lead, kindly light')

Based on a prayer by St Jerome (c.342-420AD)

*********

Lord, you have given to us your Word for

A light for sure

A light to shine upon our path to show

The way to go

Grant us so on that word to meditate

To follow its teaching so wise and great

So that we may find in it the true light

That shines e'er bright

Shines more and more until the prefect day

Showing your way

Through Jesus Christ our Lord we ask humbly

Come light the way, then we may clearly see

Get yourself a good, dark pair of sunglasses, or possibly consider a blindfold. lol
