Tune: St Anne
('O God our help in ages past')
Based on a prayer by Aethelwold (C.908-984AD)
*********
May God the Father here us bless
Forgive sins we confess
My Christ the Son of God take care
Of us, His life we share
The Holy Ghost us enlighten
All the days of all men* (*mankind)
The Lord be our defender, keep
Safe in His fold His sheep
He keeper of body and soul
In Him we true made whole
His lasting keeping now and e'er
Through all ages fails ne'er

Amen Orchi. 😉
Thanks AP.
there appear to be quite a lot of hymn poems in this series ..
Thanks N. Yep, and more to come. I did a series of what turned out to be 30 poems once, not on this same theme. It's getting 'newer' - around 1,000AD, but could slip back into older again.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
