Shanty Time.

Into the local pub we go,

Many of us meet there

And we sing,

Sing sea shanties,

The sea shanties of old.

Singing of the sea

And the hauling of ropes

And drunken sailors.

An afternoon full of fun,

Full of fun, laughter and song.

We meet twice a month

And sing our hearts out.

The beauty of singing

Bringing all together,

Something that music does.

All types of music does this,

It brings the world happiness,

So come on world,

Let us all sing together.

          Now you’ve got me singing along Andy and remembering my school days. I first learned this sea shanty at school:)

          So much nicer to meet in the pub though, with friends for a sing a long. That sounds great.

                  I hope its a large group where no one will notice me singing off key. Yes Gold singing raises the spirits and can bring people together. Music is the soul of the universe..

                    It is a about 20 strong and you could always come but it may be a long way to come for a Wednesday afternoon soren.
