Unity Utterance - Ye Olde Prayers Series (10)

orchidee

Tune: Dominus Regit Me

('The King of love my Shepherd is')

Based on a prayer of the Liturgy of St Mark (2nd Century AD)

***************

O sovereign and Almighty Lord

Bless your people, give your word

And all your flock give your help, peace

Us from our sins, fears release

Give your love to us your servants

We the sheep of your fold hence

That we may be united in

The bond of peace here within

And united too in body

And in one spirit may be

One hope of our calling in your

Divine and boundless love sure

That's three wishes to grant. Isn't that all that we are allowed with the magic lamp? They are good wishes though. Nice one Orchi.

Thanks SB. I've wasted 2 wishes already.
I wished for beautiful wife - I got KP!
I wished for fish - got same thing - KP, an old trout! lol.

A beautiful poem culminating in unity and love, what could be better?

Thanks B. Of course there's no hope of it for KP and I. lol. It's my fault, I keep spoiling it by saying to her 'Can't we stop arguing like cat and trout [dog]?!' Her latest (true) escapade is she says a ghost tickled her feet. It was Fido brushing past of course.

I'd say that you two were a match made, well somewhere. The thing about matches, you've got to be very careful, and have a fire extinguisher handy. lol
