Regrets

Meera Mere

I shout words I shouldn't, filled with regret,

Silence takes over, afraid to make things worse, I bet.

I promise to talk, but end up staying quiet,

Holding grudges, leaving bruises, it's a tough fight.

Emotions swirl, hard to comprehend,

If only I had a little courage to lend.

Clearing my head, seeking some sense,

But the tension remains, it's so intense.
