Diversity of Thought

Bella Shepard

   Diversity of thought!

Because of it

We doubt

We Question

We wonder

We search

We explore

We find answers

Often hidden in plain sight

When the mind is open

And vision clear

We are unencumbered

By prejudice

And when diverse thoughts

Come our way

We will have the ability to say

“I never thought of it that way”

Having been born in London then moving to a remote town in another country I so appreciate this because the small minded who have no idea of anything, well I meet them everyday but I never judge because well I suppose ignorance in some ways must be bliss just as they say, so I guess by not judging I'm seeing it another way just as they see me. lol I may have just confused my own thoughts. A wonderful write dear Bella full of points that truly make the reader sit back to ponder. ❤️ What a world we do live in.

Your thoughts are wonderful dearest Teddy, and completely understood. I think that the more thoughts we have, the better off we are. The brain does need exercise, and if left fallow, provides opportunity for those invasive species to take root. Your heart is kind, and accepting of everyone, if only it were so for all. We must remember that the cure for ignorance is education. Have a happy Sunday my dear, hope you are having a beautiful, sunny day!

            Thought is a two-dimensional equivocation .

The ability and humility to admit that there are other ways that you never thought of is a mark of an open mind and a prerequisite of intelligence. Very well expressed Bella.

"Ability" = courage, because sometimes (not very often) a concept/idea is presented which shakes the whole foundation of our value system (doesn't apply to me 'cos I haven't got one !!)

A really well wrought piece worthy of a much more thoughtful response than the shallow interpretation I've given above, Bella.

Dearest Dave you are wonderful, as is your comment. You are spot on my friend. Thank you!!!

Good words Bella, we must all have an open mind in this day and age.

You are so bloomin write Bella .. I spend ages thinking along similar lines and then trying to write between them .. I reckon the level of reasoning that goes hand in hand with the process of thinking is one of those things that set us apart from other species .. here on earth anyway ... Neville
