Paul thanks God on each remembrance

Of the Philippians, does sense

Their love and care, and in each prayer

For them all he in joy does share

 

Remembering their fellowship

Since the first day of their worship

And sharing in the gospel too

Proclaiming still the message true

 

He confident of this very

Thing, that God who has begun, see

A good work in them, that He will

Perform, complete it in them still

 

Even as it is right that he

Should think this of them all, so be

Having them in his heart, for they

Partake of his grace every day

 

For they support him in his chains

His bonds, for the gospel his pains

And in his defence, confirming

Of the gospel loyalty bring
