Mortal-Hamas-ment (Israeli Shout) (Friend of Israel)

AuburnScribbler

Enact who truly owns,

by killing all in sight,

not enough to see their bones,

so; set the dead alight,

dark pictures, for Muhammad,

of which, he didn’t want,

let clerics, be the bandits,

drown babies, in the font,

disallow expression,

kill the music off,

spiritual aggression,

can cure any cough,

like hers, who wore her tales,

inked upon her skin,

parading, Allah-ed fails,

but calling it winning,

do the biased TV screens,

stoke all their fires?

No matter what, they make the scenes,

as the blood perspires,

For, mortal Hamas-ment,

fills the land, so stout,

prolonging all imprisonment,

to kill Israeli shout.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Every story has two sides, so.... Again, without "any ignorance" or offence intended, I had to write the antithesis, to "Holey Land (Palestine's Alight) (Friend of Palestine)". Granted, the Palestinians were there first, and they have the right to defend their home, but the acts of Hamas, that we have witnessed in the recent past, have been incredibly abhorrent. The methods and the extent of such cruelty, are of a demonic nature, hence, they are rightfully lambasted in the media. When addressed with this, I see two opposing sides, that are two sharp blades, making too many cuts, shedding too much blood, needlessly ending too many lives. If there is clarity on who's land it is, then clearly such an aggressive war, is only going to make more devastation and confusion. But alas, when it comes to the operation of humanity, old habits do die hard! Again, I have chosen the same banner picture, to accompany this poem, as with the last, as it's the same rubble, and the pebbles still represent the lots of lives lost. Ironically, such a enduring image, that I have symbolised so morbidly, seems to be the middle ground between such "different" peoples, but I really do hope, with better thinking, when life is actual treasured, that with waking words, some actual middle ground can be found, and then more importantly harmoniously shared. I hope that you enjoy the poem, again STOP BEING SLAVES TO EVIL TRENDS, and as always, please do stay everyone.

Sadly, here everyone loses. A perpetual war machine, deadlocked in death and destruction. As in any war the innocent pay the price. A very powerful write my friend.

Thanks for read Bella, and I agree with your horrifyingly accurate commentary, but as long as there is some faith that remains, let the glimmer of hope that resides, become the path for all to walk.

I hope that all is well.

One day I hope that we will all be able to join hands in peace.

HI Ben - Is 'please do stay everyone' a typo or intentional? Either way, It is very apt inasmuch as you almost got me, and I suspect others to run away. The situation there is unspeakable for both sides, and as I am fond of remarking whenever 9/11 is mentioned,: 'Tragic. Innocent people die in war.'
        A brave attempt though.

Thanks for the read Doggerel, and yeah, the little sign off "please do stay safe everyone", I have used on many posts for about two years now, I suppose it came about, during Covid, as an attempt to somewhat remind people to look after themselves. But in general, especially in such horrible times like these, I really do mean it, as there are too many lives that are being taken away needlessly, via the morbidity of a repeated bad choice.

I agree with what you've said above, in particular the horror that happened in New York, our bombing attacks in London acts as a nightmare-ish memory too. Such a terrible thing, that the "little people" always seem to be sacrifices to perpetuate both religious mangling and political greed.

Another one of my sign offs "I hope that all is well", I've used for a fair bit too. I ask the question, as some people might not be well, thus it might start a conversation that could become a healer.

Thanks again, and of course, I hope that all is well.

Fine write Ben, any war does not bring anything to anyone except death and hatred.

Thanks for the read Andy, and I agree, a vicious circle is a vicious circle, hate begets hate, death begets death, such a travesty humanity makes!

I hope that all is well.
