Morning Birds (Haiku/Senryū #8)

Rocky Lagou

Hear it in the morn,

Quiet, warm chirps fill the room:

Love. No need to mourn.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This haiku is dedicated to a friend who lost his grandmother recently. I wanted to paint his mourning in a brighter light, having lost my mom I know what he went through and I wanted to give him hope for the future - even without his loved one present. Love is eternal, even beyond death.
