There's something most intriguing
about the work of a great poet
once he's dead
maybe it's the simple silence
never having to answer questions on his work…

- Comment from author about the poem: I often wonder the meaning of poems i read sometimes i don't have a clue but it doesn't mean i don't like what i read. Then there are those who i can study and understand so much more deeply for example, The Raven which is one of my all time favourite poems by Edgar Allan Poe. incredible what just a small amount of research can uncover.

A good point, Teddy. This poem is perfect. And the title, just wow!

lol ❤️
Many great artists not appreciated in their life time, I think of Van Gogh and others. Beauty does not need to be understood just felt. My mark of a great poem is one that touches me emotionally. A wonderful write Teddy
Thank you so much and I agree dear sorenbarret whole heartedly . 🤗
I'm still pondering the title - haven't got to the main meal yet....
You are a poetic tease at times, Teddy.....😉
I'll take that as an incredible compliment dear Dave 💜
Indeed 'twas, Teddy.
Ok
I'll ask before you snuff it
What does it mean?
Clever as always

Hi Teddy
That didn't really work
Apologies
Was questioning the work of a great poet
Oh I see lol 🤣 you've been missed. I absolutely wouldn't class myself as any great poet, but you did just make me giggle. ❤️
Ah
But your readers should be allowed to
Thank you
Good to see you
Such a wonderful thought to ponder, and you express it beautifully. The picture is so reflective of your words, you have a gift for always picking the right one. I love this dearly!
Thank you so much dearest Bella, you humble my heart. ❤️
