Tune: St Timothy

('O Holy Ghost, thy people bless')

Psalm 57 v.7-11

********

My heart is steadfast, O God, fixed

Not with worldly things mixed

I will sing and give praise to you

Worship and honour true

Awake up my tongue, for to sing

And too instruments bring

To play, to make the pleasant sound

May it worthy be found

I myself will awake early

To offer you praise free

O Lord, among the people, see

And serve you faithfully

For your mercy is great unto

The heavens with high view

And your truth to the clouds reaches

Your word it us teaches

Be you exalted, God, above

The heavens in your love

Let your glory be above all

The earth, we on you call

Thanks SB. It's PP2 poem I think. PP1 is in the Archives somewhere.
You needing that mercy, cos I'm gonna sing early, and torture folk all day?! lol.
Erm, I didn't quite get the hang of it. I sang 'The day though gavest, Lord, is ended' in the morning! lol.

I can relate to the waking up early. I'm up every morning at 5:50, out the door by 6:15 and spend a wonderful hour, just me and him walking together. I tell him all about what's going on with me and he never interrupts, but listens compassionately. Great Orchi!
