There’s a time machine inside you and I
a myth to those who cannot see it
yet to me a journey most definitely possible
from two-thousand and twenty-four
right back to nineteen-ninety-two
in a blink of an eye
who could deny my magnificent mind?
or of that youthful love that once was?
withered with the rose petals of time
faded in-between life and death itself
thus drifting from a once young lover
falling into the frailest of hands
and then onto the wisest of hearts
that has many a tale to tell.

Such a great idea seeing memory as a time machine. This may be more true than apparent. The movie "somewhere in time" brings this to mind. So beautifully stated by you in this wonderful piece.
I've never seen that film, I am always honoured to read your reviews my dear sorenbarret, you are a magnificent source of inspiration to my work and I say with so much sincere gratitude thank you. Maybe I'm hoping the world can also be a time machine remembering that once we all loved and loved eachother a bit more than we do today. ❤️
there is more significance here than immediately meets the eye .. I got stuck in the late 19 somethings and feel like I am lost or left behind ..
