Notice of absence from Tom Dylan

I've decided to add my middle initial
as people call me by that name too,
I find myself answering to both,
forgetting who is who.
They call me by my middle name,
I forget how it all began,
I try not to let it bother me,
I'm still who I am.
I tell them to call me Tom
but people never change,
they keep on calling me C
but what's in a name?
It's a little known fact that
Paul McCartney's first name is James
but whether he's called Jim or Paul
the music's still the same.
I'm adding my middle initial
so it will feel like the real me.
I hope my friends on this website
don't get lost at C.
Tom C Dylan.

Cool,
and the music is still the same
Thanks Reynaldo. I decided to add the middle initial and thought I'd write about it too. 🙂
Brilliant choice of title
Thanks Alan, appreciated.
Good write Tom I. Dylan - 'I' for Initial. heehee.
Yep, my real name is Joe Bloggs. So are 20 million others. lol.
Look up some people from old days. Some French and German names are really long.
Thanks, Orchi. And of course, as I tell my wife, danger is my middle name! 🙂
Will that involve making a new profile - adding the C?
Just gonna add the C, same profile. I'll be amending later to Tom C Dylan but still be posting the same random poems. 🙂
I'm Orchi ABC BBC ITV, etc. lol.
A joke from an old Carry On film.
Haha... those early Carry on films were great. The black and white ones, Sergeant and Constable.. just brilliant. 🙂
Yes, and they seemed to pass over some naughty jokes with double meanings. No canned laughter either, so we have to work out the jokes for ourselves. I don't like the very latest ones.
Well Tom C Dylan I love your name the c obviously makes me curious I'm thinking it's Christopher but I may be wrong. Your poem made me chuckle it's a nice play on words and the mind. Have a great day 😊
Thanks Teddy. I do think it has a certain ring to it, even if I do sound like a country singer. My grandad had a similar problem. To this day I'm still uncertain if his first name was Gerald or that was his middle name. I'll change my profile later to Tom C Dylan. I feel like Prince or something changing my name. The poet formerly known as.., 🙂 Have a lovely day, too. Hope it's better weather there than the grey rainy morning here.
Oh' I C ..
It's amazing how everything just falls into place with that simple addition ..
my middle name begins with V .. and I'm gonna leave it for the time being ..
I am so glad I stopped by here today Tom C Dylan ... that has such a lovely ring to it .. Brill title too ..
Neville 😎👍
Thanks a lot, Neville. Really appreciated, mate. 🙂
Respectfully, I'll still can you Tom. 😁👍
Haha, of course , AP. 🙂
Yeh -same deal here, only in reverse, if you get my drift .................Charles David be me: First born - means I get C from Grandfather on Fathers' side and D from Grandfather on mother's side. Rigid practice. But birth cert one thing, practicality another: Three generations of Charlies at one point all under the one roof....David I became. But deal with any Govt, hospital etc and Charles I remain. Drives me ever so gently nuts...
Keep up the good work, Thomas Cedric......
Yeah, it's weird the way names and families work, isn't it? I pretty much answer to anything. 🙂
Cheers, mate.
Very creative. Well done, my friend.
Thanks, Thomas. Really appreciated.
"C" is an incredible letter, and doesn't get all the attention it deserves. What ever that "C" is in your name, I'm sure it's perfect, just like this poem.
Thanks a lot, Bella. Really appreciated. And I've just recalled that there was an actor in the 1980s,
C Thomas Howell. Maybe I should have put the initial first. 🙂
Of course Tom C, we are now intrigued as to what your middle name is, fun words.
Andy
Thanks Andy. I should have a competition to guess, shouldn't I? It's not Tom Cruise Dylan anyway. 🙂
